Holiday Facilities For People Needing Renal Dialysis
If you are on dialysis you can go on holiday. The Peel Region offers so much to see and do. From swimming with dolphins, estuary and ocean fishing, house-boating, taking in a boat cruise on the estuary, sampling wine at one of the excellent local wineries, teeing of at a world famous golf course or just lazing on a sandy beach. There are also many excellent restaurants for dining out and a performing arts theatre located on Mandurah’s fabulous waterfront.
The Peel Region is located immediately south of the Perth metropolitan area and covers the coastal plain from the Indian Ocean to the Darling Range. The region is geographically diverse with coastal areas, estuaries, dams, farming areas, native forests and escarpments. Much of the region is a plateau with large expanses of native forest and farmlands to the east. The City of Mandurah is about an hour’s drive south of Perth.
Tourism is a major source of activity both in the coastal strip and in the forested areas of the escarpment, In 2002/2003 there were 480,300 overnight domestic and international visitors to the Region. Apart from the 465,500 domestic visitors that stayed overnight, an estimated 1.8 million day trips were made to the Peel Region.
Peel Health Campus welcomes inquiries about holiday dialysis at any time, Mandurah is a great location to come for holiday and still have your dialysis.
