Peel Health Campus

Peel Health Campus is situated in Mandurah, approximately one hour south of Perth. The Campus is the major health care provider in the Peel region, which is one of the fastest growing in Australia.
The Campus has been in operation since September 1997. Both public and private hospital services are co-located at Peel Health Campus which is operated by a private company, Health Solutions (WA) Pty Ltd. Health Solutions holds a twenty-year contract to manage the public hospital on behalf of the government of Western Australia and leases the building and facilities from the government’s Contract and Management Services.

Clinical Services
Peel Health Campus provides a wide range of acute services to the people of the Peel region and holiday makers.

The Campus is not a ‘tertiary’ hospital and has no intensive care facility. Patients in need of specialised care are transferred to a metropolitan tertiary centre such as Fremantle Hospital or King Edward Memorial Hospital
 
Clinical services are well supported by hotel and administrative services.

The Campus has a staff cafeteria and there is also a café which provides refreshments and meals. The Friends of the Hospital run a kiosk, selling refreshments, gifts and magazines. The Friends also provide a trolley service to the wards for patients.

Pharmacy services are provided by an on-site retail pharmacy which operates 7 days per week. The pharmacy also provides a gift range and staff discounts apply.

Striving for Excellence
The Campus is accredited with the Australian Council on Healthcare. Accreditation demands a commitment to continuous quality improvement utilising the ACHS EQuIP model.

In addition to meeting standards set by the ACHS Peel Health Campus must also meet standards set by the Department of Health WA Licensing Standards and Review Unit and report to the Government on a number of performance indicators as a condition of the licensing arrangements.
